South Kingsway

This is one of my favourite neighborhoods in all of Toronto. Nestled in Etobicoke it offers the perfect mix of suburban feel with downtown convenience. Depending on your proximity North or South of Bloor Street West, you could be anywhere from a 10-15 minute walk to a Line 2 station which will bring you right in the heart of Downtown in 30 minutes or less.
What I love most about this neighborhood is the mix of old-character homes that were built in the 20s & 30s and the new mix of modern architecture that has been resonating in the area over the last decade. On prominent streets like Kings Lynn Rd, Jackson Ave, and Queen Marys Dr you’ll find incredibly large lots with beautifully mature trees that are centuries old which add an affluent vibe to an already sought-after neighborhood.
This area is fantastic for younger families that want to be in reputable school zones and want to take on larger homes than what true “urban Toronto” has to offer but still be close enough to enjoy the vibrance of the city on any given weekend.
